Trigger, Trigger, Fire

This drill is called Trigger, Trigger, Fire and it helps young players stay connected, while helping with their sequencing pattern. This helps the hitter make sure they stay connected and that their bottom half, top half, and hands are all working together.

Quick Toss

This Quick Toss drill is great for young hitters to help them stay balanced, remain in an athletic position, and self organize to complete a task. Tip: Avoid rushing the hitter by making sure they are in a good hitting position before tossing the next ball.

Swing Plane with PVC

This drill will help young hitters learn how use their body and use good posture to improve their Swing Plane. This will also help with their On Plane metric and help them understand that their body will take the barrel where it needs to go.

Impact Bag - Connection

A good drill to do with young hitters to work on Connection with the Impact Bag Connection drill. This will help the hitter self organize their body and stay connected by working on their sequencing pattern, On Plane percentage, and making good quality contact with the ball.

Hitting Position

When coaching young hitters, it's important that their setup and hitting position is both balanced and athletic.
